Iai imitation sword with Nosyu (Kanefusa) inscription
This sword is an iai sword supervised by Mr. Kanefusa, a swordsmith residing in Seki City.
The tang (nakago) is inscribed with the Kanefusa swordsmith's name, reminiscent of a real sword, and the file marks are (katen-sagari).
The tip of the tang (katayama-gata) is a replica, making it just like a real sword. Inscriptions are sometimes seen on imitation swords, but the exquisite way the inscription is cut, the file marks on the tang, and the shape of the tang tip are all cut in a way that evokes a real sword, making this a rare piece.
This sword is perfect for appreciation and maintenance practice before acquiring a real sword, including practicing by removing the tang. This sword has been adjusted so that the tang is slightly easier to remove.
Included are a guide for maintenance and appreciation, a maintenance set for real swords, a sword stand (black lacquer finish), and a high-quality sword bag.
