While perhaps not yet widely known in Japan, bear canisters are a mandatory item on long trails in places like the United States.
Among bear canisters, BearVault boasts an overwhelming market share and trust.

On long trails, the BV500 with its large capacity is popular, but the BV475 sacrifices some capacity for lighter weight and better packability. As a successor to the 450 and 500 models, it's popular as a versatile size. Depending on your backpack, it can be stored horizontally.

In Japan too, environmental changes are rapid, and the behavior of wild animals is visibly changing. Of course, bear canisters are not only effective against bears but also against deer, foxes, monkeys, badgers, raccoon dogs, and other animals that have been appearing in populated areas recently. Even at campsites, there are many stories of tents being torn to shreds when left unattended.
Especially when venturing deeper into nature, we believe it's important to consider carrying one to protect both wildlife and yourself, regardless of country or regulations. It's also great to pack snacks in and keep in your car. In fact, it functions excellently as a seat.

BearVault models are approved by both the Sierra Interagency Black Bear Group and the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee.
