If used as a sheet as is, treat it like the cotton batting used for kimono padding.
It is a consumable item, but if it is sandwiched between fabric and quilted, it will become washable.

It does not slip easily, so it can be used directly as padding. You can cut it to the ideal size (shape) for padding, or cut it larger and fold it to fit your body shape.

I use ramie wadding for both under-collar and waist padding year-round. In summer, it's for heat relief, and in winter, it keeps me comfortable even in overly heated rooms, so I can't do without it (*^^*)
