Antique Bobbin Lace Frill Trimmed Grape Monogram C Embroidered Linen Cloth Handkerchief

An antique linen cloth from France.
A beautiful handmade handkerchief adorned with a cool, frilled bobbin lace trim woven with fine linen threads in rouge and ecru.

A floral monogram C is embroidered on the corner.
The tip of the C resembles a lily flower ⚜
It appears to be intertwined with clusters of grapes and two grape leaves.
The small, plump leaves are lovely.

The ecru fabric is woven with fine threads,
slightly sheer and thin, giving it a light and airy feel.

The delicate bobbin lace, combining squares □, triangles △, diamonds ◇, and circles ○, woven with lustrous, glossy, crisp, and smooth linen threads, evokes a sense of coolness.
Scalloped rim with rouge threads.
The red threads spread radially from the white threads' curves,
charmingly resembling petals or seashells ✧

The color is a slightly gray, khaki-tinged
antique ecru with a plaster-like appearance,
an antique white with subtle nuances.
A very attractive and stylish tone, with a hint of grassy green within the stone white.

It has a smooth, fluffy softness,
and a luxurious, flowing texture.
It also has a crispness and a smooth feel,
suggesting it is linen.
Or perhaps linen and cotton.

The following are amateur measurements,

One side with frill lace: approx. 34-33.5 cm
Fabric part: One side 22-23 cm
Frill width: 5-7 cm
Floral monogram embroidery: 3.2 cm x 2.4 cm

There is a repair mark of approximately 3mm x 4mm in ecru linen thread near the center.

Upon close inspection, there are about five small spots in light brown and reddish-brown, like needle points.
Two linear marks of 1.5mm.
A faint, light discoloration within an area of approximately 2.5 cm.
*None of these are noticeable from a distance.

There is a small unraveling in the red thread of the rim, but it is almost unnoticeable due to the openwork scallop design and is not bothersome to me personally.

Although a small piece, it has a presence and is lovely. It would create a lovely space when placed under an objet d'art, antique bisque doll, or teddy bear.

The color combination is reminiscent of Alsace. Besides being a handkerchief, it can brighten up a table when paired with bread, baskets, or paniers.
It can also be used to create a display in a patisserie or boulangerie.

It also looks lovely hanging from a shelf or displayed on a mirror or frame.
