Description
We sincerely apologize, but we are unable to offer a discount on this item.

This listing is for two bolts of Matsusaka Cotton fabric, one in deep navy and one in indigo blue. Each bolt measures 40cm in width and over 12m in length.
This indigo-dyed fabric is designated as a Traditional Craft of Mie Prefecture.
These are products from a workshop that stubbornly adheres to traditional dyeing and weaving methods.
The characteristic of indigo-dyed cotton is that its color becomes more beautiful with each wash.
This is raw fabric. When tailoring, please wash it with water to remove the sizing before use. Apparently, the workshop applies a slight amount of sizing to the threads during weaving to ensure smooth production. This also enhances the texture. How about using it for unlined kimonos?

Please do not wash with other items. (Once the color stabilizes, any indigo that may transfer to other items can be washed off.)
The fabric will shrink slightly when washed, but the width and length are woven slightly larger to account for this.

Indigo dyeing requires considerable time and effort. Drying is also done by sun exposure. This is a Japanese handcrafted cotton fabric. Thank you for your understanding.
The last image shows three colors of Matsusaka Cotton. This listing is for the deep navy and the intermediate, slightly lighter navy bolts together. For your reference.
There may be slight differences in the dyeing results depending on the production period.

*The Miito Ori mark may or may not be present in the center.
Both are of the same quality.
Thank you for your understanding.
