Rare Sadowsky Tokyo Sadowsky Maple 4-String Bass with Case

【Rare, Fully Functional, Maintained】Sadowsky Guitars TOKYO / 4-String J-Type
Color: Natural (Beautiful Figured Wood) / Fingerboard: Maple / Includes Case

This is a piece from the Sadowsky Tokyo workshop era. Instruments from the domestic production period supervised by Roger Sadowsky are currently difficult to obtain, and this is a rare model highly praised for both its sound and craftsmanship. Its appeal lies in its clear attack, wide range, and low noise.

Purchased new approximately 30 years ago (around ¥280,000 at the time). A full repair and comprehensive adjustment costing approximately ¥170,000 was performed 3 years ago (frets, electronics, various parts maintenance, etc. / details can be confirmed in photos and specifications). It has been mostly stored since then and is in good condition. As it is a cherished item that has been carefully handled, I hope to pass it on to someone who understands its value.

This Sadowsky has undergone peg, bridge, and fret replacement + overall setup at the Shimamura Music General Repair Center.

All work was performed by professional craftsmen following official procedures, resulting in a finish that sets it apart from amateur modified items commonly found on the used market.

✔ Peg Replacement: Significantly improved tuning stability
✔ Bridge Replacement: Improved sustain and tonal core
✔ Fret Replacement: Playability like new

While retaining the characteristic Sadowsky clear tone and powerful low-end, this is a Player's Grade instrument with significantly enhanced playing stability and expressiveness.
