Vintage Sheaffer Advertising Mechanical Pencil Feigert Insurance Van Wert Ohio

Vintage Sheaffer advertising mechanical pencil with a great local Ohio imprint. The barrel features a classic mid-century amber/brown swirl pattern and is imprinted: “Like Heck I’m Yours I Belong To A Good Client Of FEIGERT INSURANCE AGENCY VAN WERT, OHIO” The clip is clearly marked SHEAFFER. This is a promotional mechanical pencil (propel-style) with a pointed metal tip and metal mid-band. Measurements: • Length: approximately 5 inches Condition: Pre-owned / used. Shows normal surface wear, light scratches, and age-related marks (see all photos). The pencil has been partially disassembled in one photo to show the internal metal tube/mechanism. Clip and tip are present and intact. Functionality of the lead advance is not guaranteed (typical for these vintage advertising pencils). Feigert Insurance Agency was a real business in Van Wert, Ohio. It was later purchased in 1955 by Paul “Dusty” Rhoades and became Rhoades Insurance Agency. These humorous promotional pencils were popular giveaways from local businesses in the 1940s–1950s. A nice little piece of Van Wert history and a fun addition for collectors of vintage Sheaffer writing instruments or advertising memorabilia.
