Tea Ceremony Utensil - Mizusashi (Water Jar) - Karatsu Ware - Sugitani Kiln - Unique "Han Karatsu" (Spotted Karatsu) - Carved Mark - With Original Box (Stained)
Karatsu ware, a unique mizusashi (freshwater container) from Sugitani Kiln (with original box).
While I'm not an expert, I believe this is a type called Madara Karatsu.
Sugitani Kiln is well-known as Ichichuan, but it seems there was a period when they operated under the name Isai. (Gemini informed me of this.)
The design of the foot on the bottom is beautiful, and the kiln mark is clearly carved.
This item was kept by a family member who is a master of the tea ceremony.
The box has many stains and marks (please refer to the photos).
The lid is not included.
I believe it can be enjoyed as a decorative vase or for displaying flowers.
The main body has no noticeable chips, but please understand that there may be minor scuffs due to long-term storage.
It has a round shape and can also be used as a flower vase.
Please check the photos for the condition.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
Immediate purchase is welcome.
