Vintage 1970s Woven Sewing Basket Box Made in Japan Velvet Floral Lid Retro

A sweet and funky vintage sewing basket straight out of the 1970s! This round woven basket features natural and red woven coiling with wooden spoke accents and a looped handle on the lid. Includes its original plastic organizer insert.   The padded lid is covered in a plush velvet fabric with a bold oversized floral print in red, brown, gold, and olive green — pure groovy 70s charm.  The interior is lined in golden yellow satin with gold rickrack trim.   Marked Made in Japan.  Measurements: approximately 8.5 inches and  approximately 10 inches in diameter.   Condition: Very good vintage condition. The exterior wicker and velvet lid are clean and intact. The interior satin lining shows scattered age spots and some separation at the seam — consistent with age and normal for a piece like this. There is one spot where the liner was poked through.
