Machine-sharpened deluxe bento three-item set for fishing and outdoor dining

Individually, these knives would cost ¥7,800, ¥2,580, and ¥1,480, totaling ¥11,860, but they are offered here as a set. Typically, knives fresh from the factory have only a rough sharpening applied by workers with a belt sander, leaving their final sharpness dependent on the worker's skill, physical condition, and mood. If you're lucky, you'll get a great edge, but often the angles are uneven, burrs remain, resulting in inconsistent sharpness. Trying to re-sharpen them can be difficult because the wavy edge angles interfere, leading to frustration and the belief that knife sharpening is too hard. All three knives in this set have been sharpened and polished using the Swedish-made sharpening machine TORMEK T-8. The edge angles are 40 degrees (20 degrees per side), 38 degrees (19 degrees per side), and 36 degrees (18 degrees per side). These are not ultra-sharp edges that prioritize sharpness over durability, but rather edges that maintain sharpness during use and can be easily restored with common household whetstones, with a uniform finish from heel to tip. Users only need to ensure their whetstone surface is flat. By simply gliding the knife along the flat whetstone while maintaining the correct angle, the edge will be restored as the flat surfaces meet. The initial sharpening is crucial. A knife is meant to be used. Despite their price point, all these knives are sharp enough to easily shave the peach fuzz off your arm, durable enough to withstand heavy carving of wooden blocks without losing their edge, and easy to re-sharpen.
