This is a Hanagasa (flower hat) used in Ryukyuan dance.
My grandmother was involved in Ryukyuan performing arts and used this hat.
I have kept it carefully at home, but rather than continuing to store it, I decided to list it for sale so that it can be used by someone who will cherish it or needs it.
This is not a replica; it is an item that was actually used as a prop in dance performances.
It is also used for photo shoots when visiting Okinawa, often worn with a Bingata (Okinawan dyed fabric) kimono.
It can also be used as an ornament or decoration.
It features a beautiful red and gold design with striking blue accents in a wave pattern.
