A traditional bird figurine created using the Huichol yarn art technique by artisans from the indigenous Huichol people of Mexico  These figures are handcrafted. First, a sturdy base is created from wood, clay, or papier-mâché, and a special adhesive layer made of beeswax and pine resin (known as *campeche*) is applied to it. Then, the artisan carefully lays down multicolored yarn, strand by strand, forming traditional psychedelic and sacred patterns that symbolize elements of nature and Huichol beliefs.
