The USB-RSAQ Series is a conversion adapter that allows you to connect peripheral devices that use RS-232C to a USB connection. In addition to modems and terminal adapters, which are typical RS-232C devices, you can also use it with digital cameras and PDAs. It supports DTE speeds up to 230.4Kbps, allowing you to maximize the performance of your terminal adapter.
Furthermore, it offers USB-specific advantages beyond simply replacing connection ports, such as not consuming system resources and relaxed limitations on the number of connected devices, which were not possible with RS-232C connections. It is compatible with both Windows and MacOS X, enabling you to use RS-232C devices with the latest MacBook Pro and Mac mini models that lack RS-232C ports.
