■ Appeal of this unit

・Can record immediately after powering on.
・Built-in effects/mixer are excellent.

it is still perfectly viable for shaping songs without overthinking.
⸻
■ About the ZIP disk

The recording medium is ZIP.
While not modern, it can be used without issues in the following ways.

■ Specific ways to use it with DTM

Can be used as a standalone complete unit or as a front-end for DTM.
① Using it as a front-end
1. With the VS-840EX:
　・Record vocals/guitar/bass/synths, etc.
　・Sound creation with built-in effects.
・Create from rough to near-complete versions.
2. From MASTER OUT to an audio interface.
3. Record into a DAW (Logic/Cubase/Studio One, etc.) as stems (grouping each part and exporting as material).

・You can import the VS sound directly into your DAW.
・No worries about PC troubles or latency.
・Clearly separates recording time and editing time.
⸻
② As an idea generation machine
・Song structure
・Demo production
・Vocal melody/chords/arrangement creation

Completing these on the VS-840EX →
Bringing only the main production into your DAW is also a very compatible workflow.

■ Recommended for:

・Those who get stuck overthinking in their DAW and can't finish songs.
・Those who want to produce with a focus on performance.
・Those looking for a secondary unit/idea machine.
