This item is undoubtedly warp-dyed black (black warp x white weft) in reality, but it is an extremely rare irregular (error) item where the internal white tag indicates 0206 (for indigo).
Actual specifications: The outer fabric is black, and the lining is the gray characteristic of warp-dying. Since it is not post-dyed (garment-dyed), it will fade to a beautiful charcoal gray unique to vintage items as you wear it.
