Leather Skiving Machine S2 (Glove Lace, Glove String, Leather Craft)

Used a few times after purchase.
I'm letting it go because I couldn't get the hang of it and bought something different.

The main unit is attached to the base with a zip tie. Please let me know if you don't need it.

Compact handheld leather skiving machine produced by 3D printer.
For skiving laces, straps, belts, etc.
Also ideal for skiving grab laces.

The replacement blade is compatible with both 9mm width cutter blades (2-piece 40mm) and general double-edged razors (37mm).

Because it is a flip type, the angle of the blade to the leather decreases as the desired leather thickness (gap between blade edge and roller) increases.
Therefore, the limit is about 5mm thickness, and skiving thicker leather beyond that becomes difficult.
When the gap is 0mm: approx. 30 degrees
When the gap is 5mm: approx. 20 degrees

If there is a difference between the left and right skiving thickness adjustment screws, it can cause distortion, so for stable skiving, adjustment needs to be done with both sides aligned.
Basically not compatible with diagonal skiving, partial skiving, step skiving, etc., where there are differences in the horizontal direction.

-Tips-
When starting to skive, if the skived leather gets caught on the end of the upper mounting bracket and stops, try backing up slightly to get it over the mounting bracket.
For uniform skiving, do not apply excessive force so that the blade edge does not distort, and skive by relying on the sharpness of the blade.
The skiving thickness adjustment screw is M3 (single pitch 0.5mm), and one rotation is approximately 0.5mm. The blade edge will increase or decrease by slightly less than double that.

※ As this is a handmade item produced by a home 3D printer, there may be scratches, dirt, or distortions. Also, the layer lines from molding are noticeable throughout.
