60s-70s Vintage Essel HOYA Eyeglasses - Nylor Style

These are 60s-70s Essilor Hoya double-name, double-bridge eyeglasses with prescription lenses.

Essilor is a long-established optical manufacturer founded in Paris, France in 1849, known for developing Nylor and the world's first progressive multifocal lens, Varilux. They formed a technical partnership with HOYA in the 1960s, and in 1972, Essilor merged with Silor, the owner of the Amor brand, to change its name to Essilor.

These glasses feature a double-bridge design that appears to be a single bridge, with the AMOR brand arranged in an Essilor/Hoya style, exuding a distinct 60s or 70s vintage atmosphere at first glance.

Although they are deadstock, they inexplicably have prescription lenses.
It is speculated that they were either items that were not purchased at the time or were intentionally displayed with prescription lenses.

Therefore, please consider them as frames only and be prepared to replace the lenses if the prescription does not fit.

A great vintage size.

Color: Silver, or possibly white gold plating?

Condition: Deadstock, stored item.
There is some age-related deterioration, with minor peeling on the metal frame in some areas. The left nose pad has a crack inside, but it did not break when touched firmly.

Given these conditions, the price has been set lower.
