This is an extremely rare dining chair manufactured in the 1970s by Yamaguchi Woodworking Crafts Co., Ltd., a renowned custom furniture maker in Tokyo.
It features a simple yet sophisticated design that symbolizes Japanese modernism of the era. However, very few of these chairs exist, making it a rare find on the market. The manufacturer's seal is missing.

This rare chair has undergone a full restoration to ensure it can be comfortably used in modern life while preserving its vintage value.

The wooden parts (frame) have been carefully sanded and meticulously finished with oil and domestic beeswax. The back has a matte reddish-brown finish, and the frame is a brownish, matte oak color, creating an attractive, subdued contrast.

The completely deteriorated seat has been rebuilt from scratch using wood and plywood.
By using a two-layer structure of different types of urethane, we have achieved a comfortable seating experience that reduces fatigue even after long periods of sitting. The fabric is treated to prevent tearing and is highly durable.

While there are vintage-specific scratches, chips, color variations, stains, and repair marks, there are no structural issues, and the chair is in overall good condition due to the restoration.
