A large enamel pot from RIESS, a long-established Austrian manufacturer of enamelware.
Suitable for direct flame and IH cooking.
Stock pot.
New, unused, long-term storage item.
Purchased over 10 years ago at the RIESS exhibition held shortly after the opening of Shibuya Hikarie.
This is one of several items purchased.
This pot has not been used and is now being offered to someone who is looking for it, as I am organizing my pantry.
In my home, I use it every year for making miso, for the intermediate process of mixing koji before transferring it to the fermentation jar.
I also use it for parboiling bamboo shoots and wild vegetables, sterilizing jars for preserved foods, and deaerating large quantities at once.
It can be used hygienically and is convenient for large quantities of soup and other dishes.
RIESS enamelware is thick and robustly and carefully made, as expected from a world-renowned long-established company.
You can use it with peace of mind, as there are no concerns about cadmium or lead.
It's a stylish pot even when stored.
It is new and unused, but has been stored for a long time.
Please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive about such matters.
Thank you!
