Rare 80s Midori Petit Mond Music Box Diorama Rabbit Figurine Retro

This is a music box diorama drawer from the Petit Monde (Little World) series, released in the 1980s by Midori (MURAKAMI CO.,LTD DESIGN BY MIDORI).

The two white rabbits relaxing in front of the fireplace are adorable, and the design has a sense of depth, like a scene taken from a picture book. Winding the screw on the back plays the music box, and the bottom part can be used as a small drawer (for storing small items).

The 1945 plate in the center is part of the design, inspired by the era when World War II ended and peaceful daily life began to return. Petit Monde means little world in French, and it was a series of雑貨 (zakka - miscellaneous goods) proposed by Midori at the time, recreating a warm European country life and antique atmosphere.

This is a vintage item that is now difficult to obtain. How about adding it to your collection if you like Showa retro or fancy雑貨, or using it as interior decor for your room?

There are scratches and dirt.
