This is a bell made of sahari (a type of bronze alloy) with a carved design of Karakishi (Chinese lions) and Peonies.
The carving is by Hirotsugu Sano (signed on the underside).
It is finished with a reddish-brown lacquer (intentionally thin to highlight the metallic texture, colored with gold leaf, silver leaf, and colored foil).
