Description
This is a vintage lounge chair from Tendo Mokko.
The exact year is unknown, but it is quite old.
Made from a warm wood that resembles teak, I believe it would fit well with a Scandinavian-style interior.
It was very comfortable and I loved it, but I'm selling it due to moving.
The design is reminiscent of Isamu Kenmochi's haco series, who designed many of Tendo Mokko's pieces, and it evokes the atmosphere of that era.
It is heavy and solidly built, reflecting Tendo Mokko's commitment to craftsmanship.
It was featured in BRUTUS magazine's special issue on Chairs Used by People with Good Taste, introduced by photographer Kensuke Hosoya.
As these rarely come up for sale, I hope to pass it on to someone who will appreciate it.
