W.W.J.D. stands for
What Would Jesus Do?
The meaning translates to
What would Jesus do (in this situation)?
While this translation is not incorrect, Jesus is not a general term for God (GOD).
Jesus is English, but
in Italian it is Gesú
in French it is Jésus
in Greek it is Ίησοῦς
in Japanese it is イエス
In other words, it is the English pronunciation of Jesus, the protagonist of the New Testament Gospels.
The English pronunciation of Jesus, which in Greek (the language of the original New Testament) sounds like Ee-ay-soos, and was once pronounced Iezusu in Japan, is Jesus.
The meaning is What would Jesus (Sama) do (in this situation)?
As the meaning of the words suggests, this is not a type of amulet. It is a phrase for self-discipline, a lesson, or a question.
It became popular when NBA players, including Iverson, started wearing it, and it is now a very popular item due to celebrities like Justin Bieber wearing it.
How about wearing it for casual everyday style or for sports?
This is an authentic WWJD registered trademark product!
