■Iwayado / 4-Drawer, 6-Compartment Chest of Drawers
With origins dating back to the 1100s,
this is a traditional furniture piece from Iwate, known for its heavy iron fittings and robust construction.

This Iwayado chest of drawers makes a striking impression with its beautifully undulating wood grain.
The deep color and the contrast with the black metal fittings tighten the space.
It pairs well not only with Japanese-style interiors but also with modern and unique styles such as Mid-Century or Post-Modern.

It offers ample storage, and is a piece that can be enjoyed across generations, harmonizing traditional techniques with the natural beauty of wood.

Additionally, the top drawer on the long side requires considerable force to pull out and push back, possibly due to poor alignment.
The other drawers have no particular issues.

While there are minor signs of use, the overall condition appears to be relatively good.

The key operates without any problems.
