This is a remnant of high-quality Hon-Shiozawa silk fabric.
The flower circle pattern floating on the black background is impressive, and it is a beautiful piece with a deep color.

It features the smooth texture and light feel unique to Hon-Shiozawa.
The fabric has a slight translucency, giving it a cool and elegant atmosphere.

Hon-Shiozawa is a silk plain-woven fabric dyed before weaving, produced in the Shiozawa region of Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture. It is also called Shiozawa Omeshi and is a nationally designated traditional craft characterized by its fine crinkles, crisp texture, and intricate kasuri patterns. It belongs to the same technical lineage as Echigo Jofu and Shiozawa Tsumugi, and is primarily worn as a formal unlined kimono from spring to early autumn (according to literature).

The flower patterns in blue, crimson, green, and white stand out against the calm black background,
creating an elegant atmosphere with a Japanese aesthetic.

The chrysanthemums are approximately 12 cm in size,
making this a striking pattern for bags, pouches, small accessories,
as well as for making clothing such as skirts and tunics.
