Le couteau de Thiers Antique Knife
#FleaMarketCutlery
Cutlery found at a brocante (flea market) in the suburbs of Paris.
This is a set of 3 Le couteau de Thiers knives, which are still widely used in France.
The two longer knives are approximately 24cm in total length, and the shorter one is approximately 20.5cm.
Made in France
INOX
There is a gap between the handle and the blade. (There is no wobbling.)
These are not for practical use. Also, the tip of one of the knives is slightly bent. Therefore, they are listed at a lower price.
The wood of the handles has softened with age, giving it a very rich and appealing feel.
The actual color of the wood seems to have a more muted, dry tone than what is shown in the photos.
These are sold as a set only.
As these are antique and vintage items, please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about minor details.
We would be delighted if someone who understands items that have been in circulation in Europe and cherishes old things would purchase them.
We also have other antique and vintage items.
