This is a tatami surface made of natural rush grass.
How about using it to create flower stands or decorative bases?
You might also be able to use the fringed part to make mini kadomatsu (New Year's pine decorations).
Please understand that the fringe part is prone to breaking.

The tatami surface is wider than the tatami width, approximately 100cm wide, with fringe on both sides.
The length appears to be cut, so the grass may fray.
Normally, we cut off the fringe and divide the width into three parts for sale.

The quality of the material varies depending on the type of warp and weft threads used. Also, as it is a natural material, the material, quality, color, and even thickness vary depending on the production area and year.
This is a remnant from tatami manufacturing, so the sizes we offer for sale will vary slightly.
(We can accommodate custom sizes.)
Due to the structure of tatami surfaces, the edges will fray, so please purchase a size larger than you need.
The color may change slightly over time.

Although unused, this item has been stored in a warehouse. As it is a natural material, there are also weaving imperfections.
Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about these issues.

To offer it at a low price, it is folded. This will cause creases.
If this is a concern, please lightly mist it with water and smooth out the creases. They will naturally become less noticeable.

As there are fees and shipping costs, discounts are difficult.

If you need a specific quantity, shorter or longer widths, or have other requests, please leave a comment.
