This is a hair padding (anko) for the back of the head, learned at a seminar on How to Tie Japanese Hairstyles and Kimono Hair by Kyoto geiko.

It is wrapped in an invisible hair net, making it easy to shape and resistant to disarray.
It is also easy to pin in place.
It can be washed and dried as is.
You can adjust the volume and shape to your liking.

I am offering this at a low price, so I will pack it compactly by crushing it for shipping.
When you use it, I recommend loosening it from the top of the net to incorporate air.
