This is a basket bag woven from Torano-dake bamboo.

Torano-dake (Tiger Bamboo) is classified as a type of Hachiku bamboo. It is a mysterious bamboo that grows only in the Torano-dake village of Anwa, Susaki City, Kochi Prefecture, and features tiger-like stripes on its surface. While there are theories that these stripes are caused by parasitic fungi or the effects of sea breezes, the phenomenon has not yet been scientifically explained. Attempts to transplant it to other regions have been unsuccessful, with the stripes failing to appear for unknown reasons, as stated in the flyer from when it was purchased.

I purchased this with the intention of using it with an inner lining made from old fabric, but it remains as is.

I do not anticipate using it in the future, so I would be happy if someone else could make use of it.

Considering the purchase price, I am offering this at an exceptionally low price, so please refrain from requesting discounts.
