Karimoku Rosewood High-Grade Zashiki Desk

This is a traditional Karuimoku craft furniture piece made from rosewood, featuring an advanced joinery structure that does not use nails. It is perfect for a luxurious Japanese-style room and can be used as a lifelong piece. Rosewood is currently a difficult-to-obtain material, and production appears to have been discontinued.
The groove on the tabletop is not merely decorative; it is designed to accommodate a separate board fitted inside with a gap to prevent the effects of wood expansion and contraction. The sides and legs are carved, with the sides featuring a distinctive openwork design. As shown in the photos, the manufacturer's label on the back has peeled off, leaving only a trace. The K1185 marking next to it, read from the back, indicates that it was produced at the Karuimoku factory in November 1983.
Although it is an antique, it is in good condition. However, as shown in the last photo, there is a small chip of about 2mm on the lower corner of one of the legs.
Due to a move, I no longer have space for it and am reluctantly parting with it. I would like to pass it on to someone who will cherish it. Please note that shipping will be handled by Pakko & Sōso Tanomeru Bin (a specialized shipping service), and I will cover the shipping costs.
