Kyohei Shindo Gyuto 240mm Knife Aogami Steel Kurouchi Hand-Forged Blade
Kyohei Shindo
Born in Sapporo, Hokkaido. After graduating from university in Okinawa, he moved to Kochi Prefecture with the desire to create knives as tools.
At that time, there were no blacksmiths taking apprentices or succession training systems, so he joined a wholesale company for Tosa knives. He began independent training on holidays by borrowing workshops from some of the blacksmiths he did business with.
He gradually honed his skills as a forging craftsman and became independent in 2019 as Kyohei Forging.
He is dedicated to knife making with the aspiration of creating knives that are sharp, easy to sharpen, and can be used by a wide range of people worldwide, even if they require some maintenance.
