●The buds, which resemble konpeito (Japanese star candy) when they begin to open, unfurl into unique and beautiful flowers that look like opened parasols. The contrast between the buds and the fully bloomed flowers is very captivating.

●The buds are a deep pink, but the inside of the flower turns pure white when it blooms.

●This is a hardy evergreen shrub that is relatively cold-tolerant and easy to grow even in shady areas. Its relatively slow growth allows for compact management whether planted in a pot or in the garden.
I have carefully nurtured these plants and would be happy to pass them on to someone who wants to add an accent to their garden or enjoy them in a pot.
