Structure:
This hornet trap is designed to protect Japanese honeybee hives from large hornets that attack from summer to late autumn. It captures hornets that are attracted by the scent of honey.

Two Usage Methods:
1. Place the trap to cover the entrance of the beehive to prevent hornets from entering and protect the bees.
The trap is designed to automatically guide hornets inside. If set up from summer to autumn, it will capture hornets without any further intervention.

2. Advanced Method:
Place the trap in an area where hornets are present. Put a container with honey, hive debris, or sugar water directly below the main body of the trap to lure and capture hornets.
The trap is designed so that hornets enter when they return with food. It utilizes the hornet's habit of carrying food. When they move towards the light, they enter through the two holes and cannot escape through the mesh.

Captured Hornets:
Captured hornets can be removed from the drawer window using tweezers and preserved in shochu (Japanese liquor) or other methods.
Alternatively, the trap with the hornets inside can be submerged in water or heated with a burner before being reset.

Occasional Visitors:
Hawk moths, praying mantises, katydids, and spiders may occasionally be attracted by the scent of honey and enter the trap. This is not a problem.
