Daphnia Culture Device 3-Tier [Base Only]

This is a base for a daphnia breeding container made with a 3D printer.
The contents are designed to fit within 3 cm to reduce shipping costs. It does not include PVC pipes.
The 3D printed part requires three pieces to be glued together for use.
Please be sure to use 100% cyanoacrylate adhesive for bonding. A 100-yen shop adhesive will be included.

PVC pipes are inexpensive at home improvement stores, so please prepare them separately.
Cut a short piece of VU75 size PVC pipe to the desired drainage height to fit over the outer diameter of the main PVC pipe. This will be the drain. In the center, use a VU40 PVC pipe. This should be longer than the container. Inside that, use a 20mm PVC pipe. Cut this to the same height as the water surface. Use an air hose with the 20mm PVC pipe for aeration.
If cutting is too much trouble, you can also use it with just the two-layer 40mm and 20mm PVC pipes.
I use it at home and my daphnia are breeding without any problems!
If the air is too strong, the daphnia will be blown around, so it's better to use a strength that gently spreads the water throughout.

By cutting the PVC pipes to match the container size, it can be adapted to any container.

The PVC pipes can be used without gluing.

Although made for daphnia, it can also be used for killifish fry containers, as it can quietly supply oxygen.
