This listing is for 3 seedlings of Himebishi (Trapa natans var. longispina), a native Japanese aquatic plant.
Photo 1 shows the parent plant from last year.
Himebishi is an annual plant and dies back in winter, but produces spiky fruits in the summer.
The seedlings being offered this time are from fruits that overwintered and have now rooted this spring.
Once planted in Akadama soil or similar and submerged in water, they will develop floating leaves.
*Please note that for shipping, dead leaves and unnecessary roots will be trimmed as needed, so the appearance may differ from the photos.
