◎ Product Description
This is an artificial spawning seaweed designed for spawning.
Since it is not made of natural materials, you can use it with peace of mind, as there is no worry about introducing pests or bacteria into your breeding environment. It is also economical as it can be used repeatedly every year.
It features very soft seaweed leaves with appropriate spacing between them, and a structure that allows eggs to adhere and disperse easily on each leaf. It is suitable for parent fish with a high spawning rate, and the eggs will cover the entire surface of the leaves.
When spawning, if there are many eggs, they may stick together, and the water mold that develops on unfertilized eggs can spread to fertilized eggs. This product makes it easier to reduce such risks because the eggs adhere and disperse easily.
Also, when removing the spawning seaweed from the water after hatching, fry can sometimes get tangled. However, this product has a structure that makes it difficult for fry to get tangled during removal, making it easy to manage.
The core of the spawning seaweed contains lead as a weight, so it sinks firmly. Although it contains lead, it is soft and can be bent, allowing for placement according to your breeding environment, such as ponds or aquariums. However, please be aware that repeatedly bending and straightening the same spot may damage the interior.
It is suitable for spawning not only goldfish such as Ranchu, Oranda, Azuma Nishiki, Wakin, and Ryukin, but also for medaka and koi. Additionally, because the leaves are not too dense, it can also be used as a hiding place or feeding ground for baby shrimp of small shrimp, and fry of live-bearing fish such as guppies and platies.
