Scilla are planted in autumn and only have leaves during the cold season. They begin to grow flower stalks in April and bloom from April to May.
Plant in well-draining soil in a sunny to partially shaded location.
Shady spots under deciduous trees are also suitable.
Watering is generally not necessary for ground-planted bulbs, and once planted, they require no further care. If you wish to propagate them, divide the clumps.
After flowering, the leaves turn yellow and disappear from the ground.
