The certified story, Spiritual Mount Takao ~The Tale of Ku-to Woven by People's Prayers~, includes the faith of Yakouin Temple and the historical culture of Hachioji, which prospered through sericulture and silk weaving.
Sericulture and other silk industries were carried out in various parts of Japan,
but Hachioji was the only one called Ku-to among them.
The people of old described Mount Takao, blessed with abundant nature and full of the life force of many plants and animals, with the phrase Reiki Manzan (Spiritual Mount Takao).
