ーーーーーBelow is the manufacturer's description:

Introducing the NEW Grit, featuring an evolved ceramic burr. You can now enjoy the delicious taste of freshly ground coffee more quickly and with stable quality.

A compact and simple coffee grinder

The most delicious way to drink coffee is to grind the beans right before brewing. The compact and simple grinder Grit was developed to allow you to enjoy this best taste anywhere. The ceramic burr generates less friction heat, so it does not impair the original flavor of the beans. You can easily adjust the grind from coarse to fine with the dial, and grind up to 20g (for 1-2 cups of coffee) of beans at a time.

■ New Ceramic Blade grinds beans faster and with uniform particle size
The biggest improvement from the previous model is the adoption of a new ceramic blade created by rethinking the molding method. This allows you to grind beans about 80% faster than the previous model, and the particle size, which affects the taste of coffee, can be kept even more consistent.

■ Renewed logo design for a simpler appearance
Along with the renewal of the blade, the design has also been reviewed. The silicone band, the face of Grit, now features a simpler Rivers logo. The product code, previously only on the silver handle, is now also engraved on the matte black version. The printing on the bottom has been removed for a simpler aesthetic.

■ Functional silicone band
The silicone band, Grit's iconic feature, is a functional part that makes it easy to hold the main body while grinding and allows the handle to be detached and stored. It also prevents damage to the main body during transport.
