This is a sugar bowl from the vintage Pioni series.
The design theme is the peony flower.
Budding flowers, leaves, and stems are beautifully depicted on the sides, and a budding flower is beautifully represented on the bottom.
This is a vessel for holding sugar to accompany coffee or tea.
As it is a small bowl, we think it would also be lovely used as a small dish.
