French Striped Mattress Ticking, Antique Cotton Upholstery Fabric, Natural Fibers  Vintage 1930s Size: 4.7yd  Color: RARE Lavender Ecru Stripes, soft muted coloring Materials: Cotton Ticking, Antique Mattress Ticking Measures:61 wide (14 is on inside of hand stitched side seams)x  85 long (doubled long (doubled equals 4.7 yds in total) Hand stitched Seams with linen thread Hand sewn patches  Condition: Good vintage condition. Signs of wear typical of age.This is an old piece of fabric that has been used and shows signs of wear. None of which seriously detract from its authentic, romantic vintage French charm. 4th photo shows area of slight discoloration, may come out with soaking in Oxi? located at the top end where fabric has been folded. opened this up to show the mark-roughly 10X11 in size. Otherwise, some very small holes and 2/3 small rust marks that do not detract. (I have had success removing rust by drenching vintage fabrics with lemon juice, rubbing in salt and leaving out in sun) Two sections, directly on top of each other, 7x 8, have been reinforced with other beige ticking and hand mended, also in photos.   French vintage mattress cover, large piece of ticking in a rare colour combination of muted, soft lavender and cream in a lovely, herringbone weave.
