▪️60s ORIENTAL Vintage Gown Made in Japan Jacquard Japanese Pattern Kimono

From the details and design, it's from around the 1960s.

Shoulder width (from the base of the sleeve to the base): 69cm
Body width (measured around the armpits): 88cm
Sleeve length (from shoulder seam): 42cm
Sleeve length (from center of neck to cuff): 75cm

Accurate measurements are difficult due to the material and shape, so please understand that there may be some margin of error.

I, at 165cm/53kg and slender, could wear it with a good feel, and the sleeve length was around the wrist.

Although it depends on preference and how you wear it, you can enjoy it regardless of body type.

Glossy black and blue body with a brownish navy lining.

【Condition】
Small damage on the front as shown in the image.
Repairs on both shoulders.

There are areas where the hem has been bleached or discolored to green.
It doesn't look bad as an atmosphere, I initially thought it was a dragon pattern ^^;

Three stains on the lining.

The hem is frayed in two places.

You can enjoy all of these as the taste of vintage.

The fabric is sturdy.

【Remarks】
A jacket that took advantage of the Oriental popularity of Aloha shirts and Sukajan jackets at the time.

A design unique to the time, with a mysterious Fuku (fortune) character design on the landscape, intended for foreigners rather than Japanese.

I am impressed that David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, Marc Bolan, Queen, and members of the Japanese band Gedo wore them.

I don't see them very often, so I'm not sure how to coordinate them.

But it fits in smoothly when you wear it over your usual outfit without being too formal.

Also, layering casually as shown in the image is recommended.
Artists from the 90s also wore items like this loosely.

It's very comfortable to wear and looks great as loungewear.

The drape created by the material and pattern is a perfect match for items from Yohji Yamamoto and Issey Miyake.
