Classic Mid-Century Elegance  Up for auction is a beautiful 8-piece set of vintage Carvel Hall steak knives by Briddell. This is the larger, premium set (most were sold as 6-piece sets), making it perfect for hosting larger dinner parties or completing a collection.  These knives feature the iconic Mid-Century Modern design: sleek, tapered ivory-toned handles accented with polished chrome bolsters. They are a staple of 1950s/60s American dining luxury.  The Jewel Box Display Case  The set comes in its original clear plastic Jewel Box display case. The lid features the famous Golden Tower logoa stylized representation of the historic Carvel Hall Hotel in Annapolis, Marylandrepresenting the brand's heritage of fine hospitality.  Condition Report (Please Read)  Handles: One knife handle has a visible hairline crack (please see close-up photo). The other 7 handles are in solid vintage condition. All handles remain firmly seated.  Blades: The stainless steel blades are bright and clean with minimal signs of wear.  Case: The original plastic lid has some light surface scuffing/scratches consistent with age but is fully functional and free of major cracks.  General: This set has been well-cared for and appears to have been hand-washed, preserving the luster of the chrome and acrylic.
