OSOCU is a brand that incorporates techniques and materials passed down through generations in the region into everyday items.
The name OSOCU is derived from the characters for weaving (Ori), dyeing (SOme), and tying (CUcuri). As a hidden meaning, it also signifies making slowly (not focusing on new releases, but refining good things and making them for a long time), as an antithesis to the apparel industry's tendency to constantly churn out new collections.
