Vintage 1975 Imperial Magimatic X50 126 Instant Load Magicube Camera

This is the Imperial Magimatic X50 126 Instant Load Magicube Camera, made in the USA by Imperial Camera Corp., Chicago, Illinois — introduced in 1975. The brushed silver faceplate carries the bold red Magimatic badge and X50 designation, flanked by black textured grip panels and the round fixed-focus lens. The Magicube flash socket sits on the side with the film advance wheel — no batteries needed for flash, which was the selling point. The back label still reads in crisp red and black: advance film to full stop, press shutter release to full stop, cube rotates automatically. It's like a little instruction manual pressed into metal forever. ✦ The Details Imperial Camera Corporation — Magimatic X50 Made in U.S.A. — Chicago, IL 60612 — Pat.
