In 1967, young volunteer Chris arrives in the fierce battlefields of Vietnam. Angered by the conscription of ethnic minorities and the poor, he drops out of a prestigious university to volunteer for Vietnam. However, upon being assigned to the front-line platoon Platoon, he is met with a harsh reality of war far beyond his imagination. A struggle against murder in the name of war, suspicion and hatred, and the loss of humanity... Amidst the front lines swirling with the fear of death, he eventually experiences the madness and reality of war, including massacres, looting, and rape of Vietnamese people──.
