VTG Mid-Century Modern Yellow & Black Pierced Ceramic Candlestick Trio - As Is

Set of 3 Taper Candle Holders / Candlesticks (Kerzenständer). 1950s atomic style for shelving or mantle display.  Striking, abstract silhouette with a distinctive pierced design. Hand paintedol, mottled, textured mustard-yellow background accented by dark vertical stripes.  True to mid-century European design, these feature a classic shallow-well, recessed top rather than a deep socket. This was intentionally done by 1950s designers to keep the organic, sculptural lines of the narrow neck clean when displayed without candles. (candles were secured using melted wax.  Attribution: Based on the unique form and glaze pattern, this set is highly likely from the Sudan line produced by SMF Schramberg (West Germany) during the late 1950s, a style often credited to designer Elfie Stadler.  The bases are unglazed and unmarked (typical for exported mid-century pottery). We are attributing these based on design style alone.  Condition Note (Please Read & See Photos):  Two (2) candlesticks are in good vintage condition with no major flaws.  One (1) candlestick has an area of glaze loss/flaking on the front of the neck, exposing the white ceramic underneath (clearly shown in the close-up photo). The structure itself is completely solid with no structural cracks.  Priced accordingly.
