This is a beautiful vintage 6-inch cobalt blue ceramic vase from the Asahi Sato/Gordon Collection. Made in Japan during the mid-20th century, this elegant piece features a vibrant Chinoiserie-style design depicting a pair of golden pheasants/peacocks amidst blooming floral branches. It is accented with brilliant gold gilt highlights and a clean gold rim. The original manufacturer's sticker is still fully intact on the underside of the base confirming its authenticity. This is a perfect accent piece for mid-century modern, Hollywood regency, or traditional Asian inspired home decor. Excellent vintage condition. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs. The gold trim and decorative detailing are bright and intact with virtually no visible wear.
