The reeds are finished to a playable state after being tested, sterilized with ethanol, and then further sterilized with 254nm UV light before delivery.

This shaper was developed by Norwegian bassoonist Kristian Oma Ronnes. The tip width is 15.60mm, slightly narrower than the Thunemann.
The shape of the blade sides is almost straight, but slightly convex near the tip, differing slightly from the Thunemann, which has a concave curve overall.
This seems to provide the stable upper register response and dark, rounded tone required by principal players.
