[Excellent Condition] Pearl Flute PFP-105 Piccolo
This is the Pearl piccolo PFP-105, made from Grenaditte, a durable resin material. I purchased it about 5 years ago from a specialty wind instrument store and kept it as a backup instrument. However, it has been stored at home with very little use.
The headjoint is a high-wave type, making it quite easy to play in the upper register. I believe this instrument can give confidence to those who find piccolos challenging.
I've played it about 5 times. While there's a slight dullness on the keys, it's generally in a shiny and clean condition. The intonation is easier to control than I expected, and I found it very easy to play intricate passages, like those found in Ghibli songs.
I think it significantly reduces stress when playing pieces with frequent high notes, such as those by Shostakovich.
It's much easier to play than piccolos from brands like Powell or Hammig, so I believe it would be a great instrument for junior high and high school students in concert bands or orchestras. Compared to grenadilla wood, it's not as difficult to maintain, making it suitable as a school instrument.
This is also a recommended instrument for amateur musicians as a backup.
